An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the team at our Hull site.
Our Hull site is an experienced leader in the injection and blow moulding industry, housing state of the art machinery. IPL Hull takes initiative on providing eco-friendly solutions and pride themselves on delivering products specifically tailored to their customers' needs. Key products include the “One Nest” stacking crate, jerry cans, Water Butt, composter, kerbside boxes, food waste containers, and nestable bale arm trays.
This is a full-time site-based role (HU9), reporting to the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Preparation and management of the monthly Management Accounts (including P&L, Fixed Assets Register, Capex Review, balance sheet reconciliations), ensuring timely and accurate data
* Preparation of monthly reporting pack, together with a review of month end results
* Produce timely and accurate financial information that leads to and supports the weekly reporting and monthly management accounts.
* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules to support the management accounts, including the intercompany trading and funding balances.
* Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reporting to the Financial Controller
* Support initiatives and drive systems/process improvements, enhancing analysis and information for decision making and further developments in line with business strategy
* Review and challenge accuracy of forecasting
* Provide variance analysis of actuals vs budget and variations on the weekly and monthly reporting
* Supporting the budgeting process
About You
· You will have achieved a recognised professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), or be working towards this within the very near future.
· Advanced Excel skills; ability to analyse and interpret critical information
· Keen eye for detail, able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
· Exposure to MRP/ERP systems would be advantageous
· Experience in manufacturing would be highly desirable although not essential
