Role Overview As a Process Engineer, you will develop and execute robust manufacturing strategies that deliver on both customer requirements and internal performance targets for quality, efficiency, and cost. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving process improvements, managing tooling and equipment requirements, and ensuring the delivery of world-class solutions. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on problem-solving, innovation, and collaboration in a fast-paced automotive environment. Key Responsibilities Process Design & Implementation Develop manufacturing workflows optimizing takt time, capacity, quality, and staffing levels. Partner with toolmakers and equipment providers to deliver on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring budget adherence. Technical Documentation & Specifications Draft and release technical specifications detailing performance and geometric requirements for suppliers. Create process flow charts, PFMEAs, control plans, and other documentation aligned with IATF 16949 standards and customer-specific needs. CAD Modelling & Tooling Generate 3D & 2D CAD solutions using CATIA V5, managing design revisions effectively. Provide technical drawings to suppliers, ensuring compliance and design feasibility. Supplier & Equipment Management Oversee supplier progress on tooling/equipment delivery and lead commissioning activities. Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedules to optimize equipment longevity and performance. Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance Identify quality risks, conduct root cause analysis, and apply 8D problem-solving methodologies. Lead or support FMEA activities, driving design and process enhancements. Analyse process capability data to ensure equipment and tooling meet functional requirements. Customer & Sales Support Assist the Sales Team in obtaining tooling and equipment quotations for customer RFQs. Essential Skills & Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar engineering role. HND (or higher) in an Engineering discipline. Proficient in automotive Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC). Strong understanding of GD&T principles. Skilled in 3D modelling using CATIA V5 and capable of drafting 2D floor plans/cell layouts. Familiarity with manufacturing processes relevant to automotive projects. Competence in software tools (Windows Suite, MS Project, Visio, etc.). Full driving license. What’s on Offer?
