Maintenance Engineer – Foundry Environment Location: Derbyshire Salary: £51,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Nights Shift Are you a dedicated Maintenance Engineer looking for an opportunity to excel in a fast-paced foundry environment? We are searching for both Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join our clients team, working a nights-based shift. Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer: Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine and reactive maintenance on foundry equipment and machinery to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. Electrical & Mechanical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair either electrical or mechanical systems, including motors, control panels, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Problem-Solving: Use diagnostic tools and your expertise to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues. Interpret Engineering Drawings: Work from detailed electrical and mechanical engineering drawings to carry out installations, maintenance, and repairs. Health & Safety: Adhere to and promote safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. The Ideal Maintenance Engineer: Experience: Proven background as a Maintenance Engineer, ideally within a foundry, heavy industrial, or manufacturing setting. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems. Drawings Interpretation: Ability to accurately read and work from complex engineering drawings. Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) are essential. Additional PLC training would be an advantage. Package Offered to the Maintenance Engineer: Salary: £51,000 per annum.
