What it's like to work here
It is an exciting time to work at Hinton Ampner, with our Reimagining a Hampshire Estate Project, which includes the planting of thousands of trees this year. The property boasts beautiful views across the South Downs, as well as an exquisite collection of ceramics and art in the Mansion.
We welcome over 175,000 visitors per year with busy days currently ranging from 1,000-1,500 visitors. On our busiest days, we have up to 3 Car Park Assistants on duty to ensure our car parks are all run efficiently. Training will be provided on car park logistics, policies, and customer expectations.
A variety of events throughout the seasons mean that you will always find there is something new to be involved in and to share with visitors. Some of our largest events include our Easter adventures, Bluebell season, Summer trails, and Christmas! Working here you will truly feel that you are part of an inspired team who work together to ensure that our special places last forever.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be working outside, meeting and greeting our visitors and providing help and guidance on where to park. You'll help to keep the car park and surrounding area in good order, and provide a courteous and informative service to our visitors.
You’ll also be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. When interacting with our customers, you’ll inform them of the amazing work we are doing and what their money is funding, promoting local projects or promoting our cause.
As this is an outdoors role, you'll need to be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
