We're supporting a Top 15 firm of chartered accountants based in Maidstone, seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will develop effective relationships with a varied client portfolio. This role offers a hybrid working model between home and office, with excellent career development potential.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing Corporate Tax returns and preparing complex returns
* Handling enquiries from HMRC
* Contacting clients to gather information
* Identifying and supporting tax planning opportunities
* Working on research projects
* Addressing queries regarding tax filings or payments from HMRC
* Collaborating with Partners to advise on R&D tax relief, loss relief, capital allowances, group reorganisations, and employee share schemes
* Supporting Managers and Partners with staff management
Requirements
* Previous corporate tax experience within UK Accountancy Practice
* ATT / CTA / ACCA or ACA qualified or studying
* Experience with specific tax software is advantageous
* Strong corporate awareness and relationship-building skills
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage and multitask workload effectively
