What you will do:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people with learning disabilities and concurrent mental health or behavioural problems.
2. Devise, deliver, and evaluate tailored interventions and care plans, including behaviour therapy and family work.
3. Collaborate with schools, social services, and other agencies to ensure holistic care for your clients.
4. Provide expert nursing and behavioural guidance, consultation, and support to team members and professionals from other sectors.
5. Manage your own caseload, ensuring accurate record-keeping and adherence to best practices.
6. Engage in therapeutic relationships with children, young people, and their families, involving them in care delivery.
7. Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical audits.
8. Train and mentor student nurses, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance team skills.
