Job summary An exciting opportunity is available to Join the Safer Care Directorate as a Safeguarding and Public Protection Team Manager, Named Nurse / Professional. This is a permanent full-time position at Band 8A. The successful candidate will undertake the role of the Named Nurse for Adults and Children in named localities in the Trust in accordance with Government legislation and guidance and Local Safeguarding Boards/Partnerships and Integrated Care Board (ICB) requirements on behalf of Cumbria Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW). In addition, the post holder will hold management responsibilities for the Safeguarding and Public Protection (SAPP) practitioners working in named localities to ensure that a high-quality service is delivered across the trust. Applicants should hold a relevant clinical qualification, current professional registration and have significant post qualification experience. Main duties of the job An important function of the role involves the provision of specialist advice and supervision in relation to safeguarding where required to all levels of staff across the organisation. As a result, an understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding processes is essential. The successful applicant will represent CNTW at external safeguarding forums and work closely with other Named Professionals and Designated Professionals in supporting all activities necessary to ensure that the Trust meets its responsibilities in safeguarding.
