Our client specialises in the manufacture of bespoke fabrications, enclosures, and structural steel, whilst working with some of the major players within industries such Formula 1, Food Production and Medical.
As part of a strategic growth plan they have recently introduced 5 Axis CNC Machining capabilities into the business, and have bought brand new 5 Axis Hurco milling machine and a lathe.
Requirements
What the role will involve:
* Online and offline Programming the lathe using Hurco Max 5 Controls. This could involve making minor modifications to an existing programme, or creating a programme from scratch for a new part.
* Setting and operating 5 axis Hurco CNC Lathes, or milling machines.
* Setting process includes selection of tooling, and programme, clamping the billet in place, establish datum points to calibrate the programme.
* Running the programme, and watching the machine to make sure there are no issues.
* Basic dimensional inspection of the parts to make sure they are within tolerance.
* De-burring the part.
* Completion of any required process control documentation.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
* 5 Axis CNC Milling or Turning experience.
* CNC Lathe programming experience, ideally with Hurco Max 5 Controls, or with any established CNC controls.
* Experience in low volume, high precision environments.
* Quality inspection experience or knowledge.
