The Procurement Officer will assist the Senior Procurement Officer (SPO) and Procurement Manager (PM) to ensure the Association procures its requirements to the highest possible standard and complies with all its statutory duties with regards the purchasing of works, supplies and services. The Procurement Officer will also contribute to projects within the procurement programme to ensure a timely completion, that is within budget and in line to agreed requirements, specifications and design criteria. Criteria To be shortlisted, candidates need to provide evidence of the following as a minimum: 1. Level six qualification (e.g. Bachelors Degree) or above in a related qualification such as quantity surveying, construction, procurement, logistics & supply chain, business management etc., AND 1 years relevant work experience OR A minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent to include English and Maths grade C or above AND 3 years role related practical experience (in the last 5 years) of procuring works and services in a regulated environment. 2. A minimum of 1 years technical experience to include the preparation of procurement tendering packs. 3. Knowledge and understanding of NI & UK public procurement legislation and the practical application of these legislative requirements. 4. IT literate with demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
