The Project Lead Engineer, Electrical is someone who plans, organizes, and manages all mechanical/electrical engineering activities for the department to produce mechanical/electrical working drawings and specifications for all projects within its own office and may have the responsibility to assist other stakeholders at other offices. The Project Lead Engineer, Electrical must be capable of demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment.
Responsibilities
* Develop and define project schedule to meet contractual obligations and to match team size and skill. Establish and update project personnel requirements consistent with contractual obligations.
* Plan and execute projects according to the requirements of the client and the scope of the project.
* Supervise and lead the project team, assign tasks by delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete the tasks.
* Set deadlines, monitor progress, and ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
* Communicate with the president to keep the project aligned with the goals.
* Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
* Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needed or financing for the project change.
* Provide leadership and management necessary to strategize successful project delivery, financial performance, and risk mitigation including negotiating project scope and fees, job production and quality, fee management and collection, monitoring project accounts as well as establishing and executing project work plans.
* Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested.
* Manage project communique, delivery, and deliverables to ensure the highest quality of documentation and professionalism.
* Mentor junior staff and participate in performance coaching.
* Prepare and present project proposals.
Qualifications
* 5 years experience minimum (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
* Experience in utilizing various computer software packages such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Coordination Study, and Arc Fault Study Calculations.
* MEP Industry experience.
* Passed FE Exam (Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) OR Passed PE Exam (Practice of Engineering Exam).
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Compensation
$80,000 - $110,000
