We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Head of Insurance Finance Frameworks.
The Governance and Frameworks team is responsible for driving consistency and quality across the Global Insurance Finance function, covering three key areas: Data and Model Governance, Corporate Governance, and Enterprise-wide Frameworks.
In this role, you will:
* Accountability for designing, implementing, and maintaining all Enterprise-wide Frameworks across Global Insurance Finance.
* Designing and implementing frameworks that standardise, guide, and govern core finance processes, including reinsurance, hedging, stress testing, environmental scenario analysis and reporting, Annual Actuarial Basis Reviews, capital optimisation and so on.
* Ensuring frameworks include sufficient principles, standards, and guidance (e.g., data, processes, controls, Risk & Compliance and Governance, analysis and MI requirements, roles, responsibilities, engagement, purpose and usage).
* Engaging key senior stakeholders across all lines of defence to ensure frameworks consider and reflect the requirements and expectations of relevant processes and regulations.
* Partnering with senior core process owners to support with implementing and embedding frameworks within BAU practice and providing technical guidance.
* Acting as a 1LoD review and critique of the framework implementation and associated output to ensure consistency and quality across the function.
* Monitoring and, where required, updating frameworks on an ongoing basis for the latest industry and regulatory developments.
* Conducting in-depth Actuarial / Insurance analysis to support the design of requirements (e.g., escalation thresholds) and to assess / critique proposals (e.g., new reinsurance deals, hedging arrangement).
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
* Demonstrable Life insurance experience within a Professional Services, Insurance, Banking or Consulting business (e.g., Asset Liability Management, Capital Management, Balance Sheet Management, Balance Sheet Optimisation, Treasury or Financial Planning & Analysis).
* Thorough understanding of Insurance products / business models, accounting standards, actuarial concepts and techniques, and regulatory regimes (e.g., Risk-Based Capital).
* Experience of driving large-scale transformation / change within a large matrix organisation.
* Demonstrable experience of directing, engaging and motivating a team.
* Collaborative, engaging, credible and methodical; being able to bring the numbers, policy and narrative to life (e.g., presenting to a wide range of stakeholders/ senior management).
* Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders (all levels of seniority, businesses, and geographies).
The base location for this role will be London and with a hybrid working pattern.
