We’re currently looking for an Authorisation Officer on a full time 6-month fixed term contract basis. This position sits within the Authorisation team and can be hybrid basis from Glasgow or remote based from home. The Job Reporting to the Team Leader, on a day to day basis, you’ll carry out daily business operations to meet individual targets and team objectives. This includes but is not limited to: Primarily responsible for undertaking assessment work, specifically to review member eligibility to hold a non-audit practising certificate. Assess practising certificate experience forms, ensuring members have completed the necessary requirements and the training records in line with ACCA procedures and policies. Ensure work in progress (WIP) tracker is always kept up to date, to ensure visibility of all pending work. Ensure accurate processing of annual renewals of practising certificates with financial payments. Ensure the highest quality of customer service is always provided, answering emails, correspondence and telephone calls from members providing excellent technical knowledge of matters relating to public practice. Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of members in practice including; ACCA Rulebook, and practitioner information. Be an ambassador for ACCA, treating all internal and external customers with respect and always maintain professionalism. The person We’re looking for someone who: Able to demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge, sound judgement and initiative within complex situations and make appropriate and measured decisions. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers at all levels. Highly organised, logical, and methodical approach to work with very strong analytical skills and with an emphasis on attention to detail. Able to multi-task and experience of dealing with a high workload and working to tight deadlines with competing priorities, whilst being able to remain calm under pressure. I.T literate with fast and accurate data inputting skills and a sound knowledge of MS Office and ideally with experience of working with Oracle databases.
