The successful candidate will be supporting the Squadron Commanding Officer in their role delivering suitably trained aircrew & maintenance personnel as Gains to the Trained Strength (GTS) in support of Operational Tasking. You will do this by providing a streamlined, efficient, and effective service focused on the design, development, deployment, and support in-service of the synthetic environment for all in-scope units at RNAS Culdrose. A team player, you will be responsible for building a network of relationships across the Training Requirements Authority, Training Providers and, particularly, Front-Line users/SME.
You will be responsible for:
1.Managing the design, development, deployment and in-service support of the 3D visual models database for the Cockpit Dynamic Simulator (CDS) and Cockpit Procedural Trainer (CPT) by optimising the fidelity within the constraints of graphical processing power. Carrying out perfective, adaptive and corrective maintenance to computer generated players visual representation generally in accordance with Def Stan 05-57. The 3D visual model component of the Synthetic Training Environment is to be managed in accordance with industry best practice, JSP440 (Tri-Service Regulation), Accreditation and Security Operating Procedures.
2. Acting as SME for the synthetic environment visuals system, ensuring instructors and colleagues are fully aware of capabilities and limitations of the system. Manage a database of proposed changes and actively engage with instructors to inform future development.
