We are currently recruiting one Optometrist or Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work Tuesday in the glaucoma and Friday in the uveitis Service to cover Maternity leave, one year fixed post.

This post is open to an Optometrist/ Advanced Nurse Practitioner as a Part-time (2 days a week), one year fixed term to cover Maternity working within ophthalmology. Please see JD for essential requirements for the post.
Main duties of the job
* The post holder will be working in an Advanced clinical role while leading and developing ophthalmic practice within the trust.
* The aim of the role is to deliver a comprehensive Ophthalmic Led Service in Glaucoma and Uveitis.

Education and Professional Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Registered Nurse with Post graduate qualification in Ophthalmology/Optometrist
* Post Graduate Glaucoma Qualification
* Upper Degree or Master's Degree in a health related subject or equivalent experience
* Uveitis post graduate training or equivalent experience
Experience
Essential criteria
* Teaching in clinical practice
* At Least 5 years' experience in Ophthalmology
* Ability to work in advanced practice role
* Track record of practice development and innovation in ophthalmic practice.
* Experience of leading and developing a team
