Development Coach - Residential Childcare
Location: Remote
As we continue to expand our operations, we are excited to introduce the role of Development Coach. In this position, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our learners and enhancing their experience by coaching, mentoring, and guiding them through their qualifications in Residential Childcare.
In this role, you will deliver outstanding service by effectively guiding learner progression, leading the delivery of the broader curriculum, supporting e-portfolio management (BUD), and helping learners achieve their goals on time and to the highest standards. You'll support the Personal Tutor with their caseload by working together to provide the most well-rounded support to learners and employers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide inspirational support and guidance to learners throughout their learning journey.
* Collaborate with employers to offer Information, Advice, and Guidance throughout the programme.
* Possess a deep understanding of the broader curriculum (e.g., British Values, Safeguarding, and Prevent) and integrate it into your teaching.
* Coordinate the booking of workshop sessions and exams, including functional skills.
* Support learners returning to the programme after breaks and help them get back on track.
* Respond promptly to queries from learners, employers, and other stakeholders.
* Prepare learners for End-Point Assessment (EPA) and assist them in getting their portfolio ready for gateway.
* Utilize digital technologies to provide valuable feedback in a supportive and secure manner.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations and all internal data security policies.
Requirements
Candidate Requirements:
* Essential Qualifications:
o Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent).
o Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring qualification (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience:
o Proven experience supporting a caseload of learners towards successful qualification completion.
o Experience in creating personalized learning and progression plans.
o Coaching experience, helping learners overcome barriers and encouraging progress.
o Familiarity with e-portfolio systems (BUD experience is a plus).
o Strong knowledge of the Apprenticeship sector, including EPA and safeguarding requirements.
* Skills:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, and Word).
o Strong IT literacy and ability to use digital tools to enhance learning and feedback.
