Boughton Leigh Junior School is seeking to recruit passionate, resilient and empathetic teaching assistants to work 1:1 with children who may have diverse needs linked to their Special Educational Needs.
We are looking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for either 15 hours per week or 30 hours per week. The role will be attached to a child/children with an EHC. If the pupil was to leave the school, the role will cease.

The successful candidate will:
1. need to be creative, understand how children learn and be able to form excellent relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
2. have experience of working with pupils with significant needs.
3. predominantly work in a 1-1 capacity, but you must also be prepared to work within a whole class setting.
4. work with small group work with children who have additional needs (SEND) in addition to undertaking other duties which support the education and well-being of all pupils.
5. be expected to maintain the high standards established in our school and use strategies in liaison with the teacher to support pupils to achieve their full potential in their learning.
6. also be expected to prepare, maintain and use any equipment/resources required in order to deliver the planned relevant learning activity.
7. have strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
8. have energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude.
