Welsh Speaking Secondary Teacher
New Directions are currently recruiting for a number of Welsh Medium Teachers to work with our Secondary Schools in the Flintshire area. There are various day-to-day, part time and full time roles available, with an immediate start. There is also a possibility that these roles could turn into long term positions. These roles would also be an excellent opportunity for both Newly Qualified Teacher's (NQT's) as well as more experienced teachers.
Schools are looking for teaching cover for various subject specialisms such as Welsh, Maths, Science and Modern Foreign Languages for those with the appropriate qualifications, as well as general cover across various classes.
To be successful you must be a dedicated education professional who is passionate, flexible and empathetic. It is essential that you are able to effectively build relationships with both colleagues and pupils, providing a safe and engaging learning environment.
As a secondary teacher you'll be expected to:
* Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
* Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
* Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
* Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
* Maintain discipline
* Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
* Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
* Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
* Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
* Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
