Job Description: Resident Services Coordinator
The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) leads the implementation and coordination of programs and services for individuals and families at two affordable housing communities in Newark, NJ. New Irvine Turner and New Center City apartment communities are a combined 142 units in 6 non-adjacent buildings. The site has a brand new community center with active services including afterschool programs, food security services, and housing stability supports to name a few. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work for community events. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not required. The RSC’s work will be directed through a consulting relationship with Operation Pathways, Inc. but will be employed by Winn Companies and will work in collaboration with property management.
The RSC partners with residents to gather community input/feedback, conducts an annual property needs assessment, investigates local community resources, and coordinates the delivery of programs and services for residents. The RSC establishes partnerships with organizations to deliver on-site programming and opportunities in the property’s community space or refers residents to services in the local community. The RSC is responsible for developing and supporting program goals at the site level and ensuring that reports and budgets (when appropriate) are completed and accurate. The RSC may be asked to assist with submissions of funding applications and monitor adherence to contractual agreements. The RSC will work in partnership with the site property management teams and tenant associations to assist with housing stability and to provide social services referrals to meet residents’ needs or desires. The RSC is responsible for managing programmatic outcomes as directed by Operation Pathways.
Essential Functions:
* Coordinate services for residents that support positive personal development and improve quality of life;
* Partner with residents as they work toward their individual goals and outcomes;
* Establish and maintain relationships with local service providers, schools, civic organizations, funding agencies, business partners, and other community-based organizations;
* Manage site program budget, review monthly reports, and ensure accuracy in reporting;
* Work with Operation Pathways leadership team to build their annual budget (when appropriate) and determine priority areas for funding;
* Collect, manage, report and analyze data on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and consistency with established data collection standards;
* Analyze effectiveness of programs using collected data and determine site-specific program needs in addition to regular program offerings;
* Conduct pre- and post-assessments as needed for internal and external reporting (directed by contractual agreements);
* Manage contracts for third parties providing programs on site under RSC’s purview;
* Submit monthly reports and newsletters to direct supervisor;
* Participate in full staff calls, regional peer sharing calls, meetings with property managers, meetings with direct supervisor, and meetings with members of the leadership team;
* Provide directed outreach, translation assistance, and other supports to residents.

The RSC exhibits a professional manner dealing with others and maintains constructive working relationships.
* Leadership and Initiative. The RSC should demonstrate leadership and initiative in all areas of resident services at the property, including the development and execution of partnerships, projects, and programs.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of human services experience and a minimum bachelor’s degree. Candidates without a bachelor’s degree should have 3-5 years of experience working in human services. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22-$30 per hour, depending on experience
