Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Work Experience & Placement Coordinator to join our Careers and World of Work team at our Cambridge & Huntingdon Campuses. You will join us on a part-time basis, working 29 hours per week with the potential to increase to full time hours from September. You will receive a salary of £ 24,107 - £25,983 per annum pro rata, plus staff benefits (Actual take home salary: £16,120.29 - £17,374.77 ). About the role: As part of the Careers & World of Work team, you will act as the bridge between students, curriculum areas and employers to support students in their preparation for the World of Work (WoW). You will build strong partnerships with employers to support students in securing work experience and placements for their course or study. Primary duties include: -Acting as a department link; working with curriculum colleagues to plan and arrange opportunities for students to engage in work-related learning. -Building strong partnerships with employers to support students to secure work experience and placements. -Supporting with the planning, tracking and monitoring of World of Work activity. -Ensure students are briefed and prepared for external placements and visits, including accompanying students on trips. -Ensure appropriate workplace checks are completed, in line with college policies. -Work collaboratively with Curriculum, Student Services and Employer Engagement teams to identify opportunities for students to further develop industry-related skills. This role is based at Cambridge campus, with occasional travel to Huntingdon campus and visits to employers.
