Our commitment to excellence in service is paramount, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our Facilities Management team.
As the Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our university buildings and facilities. You will lead a team of cleaning staff, ensuring that all areas are serviced efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning team, ensuring compliance with cleaning schedules and standards.
Train, motivate, and mentor cleaning staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to evaluate cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
Manage inventory and order cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring proper equipment and materials are available.
Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues, responding to feedback from staff and students promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with other departments to schedule cleaning activities around university events and activities.
Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
Prepare reports and documentation related to cleaning operations and performance metrics.
What you bring:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a cleaning or facilities management environment.
Knowledge of cleaning protocols, products, and health and safety regulations.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks as needed.
