Our ward is a 27-beds ward which specialises in fractured Neck of Femur in patient's 60 years and over. You will need to demonstrate a keen interest in elderly care and the NOF pathway. Have an ability to engage with our visitors, loved ones and families, and confidently liaise with our extended MDT is essential. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for leading the team in the absence of the ward sister, supporting with staff management, audit and ward development projects. You will also support the ward sister in reviewing complaints and governance issues, promoting a positive safety culture. To have continuing 24 hour responsibility supporting the ward sister for the effective management of the area and deputising in their absence. In addition the post holder will provide nursing leadership within this area, ensuring an effective quality nursing service, with responsibility for standards of nursing care and patient safety.
