Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, including children, seniors, and those requiring specialised assistance. Duties
* Provide support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as meal preparation, shopping and enabling in the community.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with specific needs.
* Assist with mobility and transportation, ensuring clients can access necessary appointments and activities.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate professionals.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Administer first aid as required and respond appropriately to emergencies.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
* Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in areas such as childcare, home care, hospice care, and senior care.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
* Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients as needed.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact on their lives.
* Flexibility in working hours may be required to meet client needs.
