Job summary This role is to support families with infants, toddlers and children, providing 1:1 and group support to early nutrition, play and preparing for school readiness. You will need to travel to a variety of sites across Barking and Dagenham, working in partnership with Family Hubs and voluntary services This role will support families with children with topics including, supporting breast feeding and early nutrition introducing solids, fussy eating, healthy sleep routines, temper tantrums and play. Main duties of the job Offering specialist support and guidance for families to establish health eating habits whilst maintaining breastfeeding - face-to-face in group settings, at home, or on the phone/video call. Support families with with toddler behaviours Including co-delivery of evidence-based parenting interventions (working with Best Start for Life team). Provide group and individual sessions around transition periods in the early years - such as introduction to solids, toilet training, sleep, and oral health Promote healthy transitions service effectively - identifying opportunities and proactively suggesting ways for families to connect with the local community. About us Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.
