A reputable law firm is seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their team in Camberley. The main purpose of this role is to contribute to the management of residential property transactions supporting experienced solicitors. Key Responsibilities: Caseload Management: Assist solicitors in managing a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity. Due Diligence: Conduct title checks, land registry searches, and other due diligence tasks to ensure the smooth progress of transactions. Document Drafting: Draft legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements, with precision and attention to detail. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to provide updates and facilitate communication throughout the conveyancing process. Post-Completion Tasks: Handle post-completion tasks, such as registration of title deeds and payment of stamp duty land tax, in compliance with regulatory requirements. Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records, manage files, and update case management systems to monitor progress and ensure efficiency. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to solicitors and colleagues within the conveyancing department as required. Experience and Skills Requirements Conveyancing Experience: Previous experience working as a conveyancing paralegal within a law firm or conveyancing department is essential. Procedural Knowledge : Thorough understanding of residential conveyancing procedures, including experience with leasehold and freehold transactions. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications. Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proactive Attitude: Proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Legal Qualifications: Relevant legal qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
