Job Opportunity
* Policy and Procedure distribution; Ensuring that all staff are familiar with and work in line with Cornwallis Care Services policies and procedures.
*
* Develop and maintain good communication and working relationships with and between staff, ensuring the necessary vehicles are applied to ensure this – eg maintaining an annual schedule of meetings (chairing where required), ensuring minutes are taken and distributed appropriately, making use of Team chats, email communication, etc.
*
* To be the point of contact regarding any HR concerns within the Home, using the Croner Support site for advice and guidance as required and liaising with the internal HR Team.
*
* Implementing and maintaining accurate staffing Rota’s (including Maxtime), ensuring the appropriate compliment in accordance with resident dependency, the requirements of the registered provider and current health & social care legislation.
*
* Managing the annual leave planning, ensuring that it remains in line with company policy, and taking appropriate action to cover staff absence.
* As and when required (eg in the absence of the care supervisor); Ensuring the correct and efficient ordering, safe administration, storage and recording of prescribed medication.
* Completing and submitting allocated audits and reports in line with the Company’s Audit & Reporting Schedule.
* To liaise with residents, families and carers, management, staff and other relevant parties to ensure effective communication.
* To keep the Home Manager fully informed of any changes and/or concerns.
* To resolve all complaints in accordance with Cornwallis Care Services Complaints and Compliments Policy, ensuring that the Home Manager and/or Care Supervisor are informed without delay.
Essential Skills
1. To adopt a flexible working pattern in order to meet the needs of the Home.
2. Lead and Participate in staff meetings as required.
3. Lead and Participate in training activities as required.
4. Lead and Participate in quality assurance systems as required.
5. All duties must be carried out to comply with: - Notification of accidents and other Health and Safety requirements - Statutory legislation, in particular COSHH and Hygiene regulations - Nationally and locally agreed Codes of Good Practice - Fire Precautions - Equal opportunity principles and the Service’s anti discriminatory.
6. To undertake any other duties within the scope of this role profile, at your normal place of work or at any other of the Company’s establishments.
7. The post holder is responsible and required to observe strict and complete confidentiality regarding information obtained during the course of his/her duties.
8. To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of anybody else whom your acts or omissions may affect.
9. To work in accordance of Cornwallis Care Services policies and procedures at all times.
