As an OD&D Practitioner, you will be at the heart of our organisation, playing a vital role in building and maintaining the organisational capability necessary to achieve our strategic goals. This involves working closely with colleagues across the organisation to align strategy, culture, and processes, enabling whole system change and driving organisational effectiveness.

Main duties of the job
You will work collaboratively and proactively with OD&D and HR Business Partners to support the development and application of diagnostic tools. A key part of the role will be to implement inclusive OD&D interventions to optimise business as usual (BAU) and transformational change programmes.

In this role, you are accountable fo r:
1. Working with OD&D Business Partners to effectively scope and understand emerging priorities and development requirements, facilitating and/or sourcing interventions as agreed2. Supporting OD&D Business Partners in the effective delivery of the OD&D strategy and associated projects and interventions3. Providing OD&D capability to strategically aligned programmes and projects4. The design, delivery, facilitation and evaluation of interventions, to increase the effectiveness and capability of all managers and leaders. Areas include, but are not limited to, Enabling Performance & Potential, Team Effectiveness & Dynamics, Recruitment & Selection, Managing & Leading Change5. Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the NHSBSA Core Capabilities are embedded within all interventions and the employee lifecycle6. Facilitating learning sets that create expectations and experiences with managers about new ways of working and learning7. Ensuring OD&D interventions are systemic, innovative, versatile and flexible, focussing on real life experiences and responding to the requirements of the organisation and key stakeholders8. Enabling people to capture and consolidate their learning, reflect on their experiences and inform future development plans9. Facilitating groups and individuals to share their learning to increase the capability and effectiveness of others across the manager community10. Actively supporting the cultural development of the NHSBSA by role modelling required behaviours through coaching and engaging managers and leaders appropriately 11. Using the data and insight from interactions to further inform organisation development12. Keeping up to date with NHBSA future requirements to focus activities on organisational needs 13. Supporting the development of future Learning and OD&D strategies, ensuring they are fit for purpose14. Supporting the ongoing development of learning communities across the NHSBSA15. 10. Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant discipline or demonstrable experience
11. Evidence of continuous professional development
