Area Sales Manager
Salary: £40,000 + Company Car / OTE £50,000 +
Location: Covering the Southwest
Shift: Monday - Friday, No weekends
We are looking for a highly motivated and commercially focused individual, with a proven successful sales and account management background.
As an Area Sales Manager, reporting to the National Territory Manager, you will be responsible for attaining the agreed individual and sales team targets by promoting and selling equipment and services to existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach, maximising sales profitability and growth within a designated territory.
About your new Area Sales Manager role
1. To achieve agreed annual target of selling new, used, and materials handling equipment.
2. To generate new leads and business development opportunities by researching sources for developing prospective customers.
3. To manage product/service mix, pricing, and margins according to agreed aims.
4. To plan and manage a personal business portfolio for assigned territory according to the market development strategy.
5. To demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
6. To establish, develop, and maintain customer relationships and to follow up once delivery of a truck has taken place.
7. To be involved in continuous improvement of processes and procedures with other team members as requested.

Requirements for the Area Sales Manager
If you have experience in sales within the forklift or material handling sector, that would be an advantage but is not essential.
We are looking for someone who can show previous success in sales, is self-motivated, and is happy to work in a role where they will be seeking new business and following up leads.
You will need to be commercially minded, IT literate, and possess excellent communication skills.
