A successful child residential support worker will be responsible for:
11. Working effectively as part of a team of child support workers
12. Hitting the ground running
13. Providing 24 hours care to a vulnerable young people
14. Supporting service users with early trauma and emotional behavioural difficulties
15. Taking service users out into the community and to school each day
16. Ensuring professional boundaries are in place
17. Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
18. Working to a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends and bank holidays and Christmas period
To be successful in your child residential support worker application, you will:
19. Have previous 6 months prior experience in UK working in a residential setting with young people
20. Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
21. Have strong communication skills
22. Register under the PVG scheme
23. Full driving license
24. Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
