Organisation Oxford United Women Salary 8 contracted hrs per week Location The Oxford Academy School & Oxford United Training Ground Contract type (Part time) Closing date 31 August 2024 Job Description Oxford United Women’s team are looking for Coaches to support the development of female
players within our Youth Development Phase.
Working hours will be Mon 5:30-7:30pm, Thurs 5:45-8pm plus Sat fixtures. (8 contracted hrs pw)
Key Objectives:
● Support and develop all players within the group to attain the highest levels of
performance possible in a safe, secure and supportive environment.
● Drive and nurture a positive culture within the training group. Be a coach who makes
OUFC a place where players learn, have fun and develop a love for the game.
● Deliver football coaching sessions in line with the girls curriculum/blueprint.
● Ensure the age group’s coaching programme adheres to and exceeds all club standards.
Main duties/responsibilities
● To attend all training sessions and fixtures - planning, designing and delivering effective
practices.
● Follow club syllabus.
● Work alongside other staff members efficiently and effectively
● Ensure there are high standards of coaching delivery across all sessions, which are age
appropriate.
● Create and review player IDPs.
● Ensure the Club adheres to The FA standards for safeguarding.
● Develop a strong relationship with the Head of Girls Football and wider club staff.
● Ensure that the Club adheres to and exceeds all club standards.
● Ensuring the Club adheres to The FA standards for safeguarding.
● Input into selection decisions (e.g., attend trials and take part in selection decisions
post-trial)
● Work across age groups (coach is likely to hold responsibility for one age group and work
with different groups from time to time)
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential
● FA Level 2/UEFA C or above coaching qualification
● FA First Aid & FA Safeguarding
● FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid or FA emergency First Aid
● Excellent communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with staff
and players
● Ability to plan, design and deliver effective practices
● Knowledge & passion of female football
● Ability to travel independently, when required.
● Excellent organisational and time management skills.
● An enhanced DBS Check will be carried out.
