Compass Birmingham MHST is an early intervention mental health and emotional wellbeing service. The service delivers evidenced based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.
Main duties of the job
It is part of the MHST Trailblazer Programme, which has been commissioned following the Transforming Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Care Provision: A Green Paper (2017).
The role will work alongside new and existing colleagues to further develop MHSTs in Birmingham with a focus on building partnerships with education settings and to drive the implementation of highly effective and CYPF focussed mental health and wellbeing services in line with the national MHST operating framework; managing supervising and innovating with practitioners and colleagues in the service.
You will need to demonstrate in your application that you havea nationally recognised qualification meeting the requirements of the MHST training examples include EMHP, CWP, mental health nurse, psychotherapy or social work qualification which must be registered with the appropriate governing body, e.g. BABCP or NMC or an equivalent and two years experience working to support the emotional health, wellbeing or pastoral needs of children and young people.
Candidates will either have a Post Graduate qualification in supervision and/or management or ability and willingness to undertake further training.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to network with other agencies as central to the role.
You must possess a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. An enhanced level DBS check is required for this role.

Qualifications
Essential
* Core professional and/or clinical qualification )e.g. EMHP, CWP, PMHW, nursing with specialism in mental health or learning disability nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work) and must be committed to maintaining registration if applicable
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision (EMHP supervisor course)
* or
