We’re partnering with an established, independent company in the construction sector. Due to their excellent reputation as a high-quality contractor, the business is growing & they have recently opened a second base. To help drive the business forward, they are now looking for an experienced Contracts Manager.
This is a key position as you’ll need to make sure all pre installation information is complete, estimating is accurate, projects are properly resourced with plant & people and operations are clear on what’s needed. That means flagging any risks for further discussion & successfully negotiating cost savings with suppliers. You’ll also liaise with clients and delivery teams to ensure work is completed on time, in budget and to a high standard. Training responsibility will fall under you as will meeting health and safety standards. It’s a varied position that offers plenty of responsibility and would ideally suit somebody with a good mix of people & operational skills from within the construction industry.
What you’ll need to bring:
* Construction industry experience ideally with a specialist trade contractor.
* Experience of contracts management at specialist sub-contractor level or above.
* Strong communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
* Computer Literate especially in Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Good attention to detail.
* People management experience and possess excellent people skills.
* Be able to work in a team and on own initiative.
