Bolton NHS Foundation Trust Occupational Health Department has a vacancy for a Counsellor (Band 5). You will play a vital role within the department as it strives to provide high-quality services to employees of the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated Staff Counsellor to work within the Occupational Health Department. Reporting to the Department Manager, you will hold a British Association of Counselling Diploma and associated accreditation or equivalent, ideally with a specialty in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team that has developed an excellent service supporting the health and wellbeing needs of staff working for the Trust.
You will be expected to manage your own caseload, negotiate client contracts, and demonstrate your experience of evidence-based practice to enhance your work. To fit in with the demands of this dynamic role and the needs of the team, you will be able to adapt to change, work both proactively and reactively in a flexible manner, and demonstrate teamwork and a positive attitude.
If all the above sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you.
Working for our organisation
Our department is SEQOHS accredited, marking the quality we strive for as an occupational health service. You will be joining a high-performing integrated NHS Trust, rated Good in our last CQC inspection but striving for even more. We were delighted to hear that our staff rated us as ‘the best place to work in Greater Manchester’ in the most recent Staff Survey results (Q4 2020/21), which is testament to the truly unique family and team feel at the Trust.
