This is an exciting opportunity to support the out of hours Admin team in the Emergency Department We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Emergency Department administration team as a Patient Flow Coordinator. This vital role works alongside our Medical, Nursing and Site Management teams to co-ordinate the activity within the Emergency Department. You must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a pleasant telephone manner. It is essential that you have the ability to deal with confidentiality issues and be able to provide excellent customer care service. It is vital that patients details are accurately recorded, and the relevant documentation is created to support safe patient care. Dealing with approximately 105,000 attendances per year, the Emergency Department is an exciting and stimulating place to work and benefits from excellent team working. This role would suit someone who has exceptional interpersonal skills, is proactive and looking for a challenge. The successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure and have experience of dealing with the general public, and with difficult/distressed people. A flexible approach to work and an understanding of working in a busy environment with minimal supervision are also essential.
