Responsibilities
1. Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served
2. Grill, broil or sauté menu items according to standard recipes and presentation specifications
3. Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules
4. Interact with visitors, vendors, and associates while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
5. Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shift
Qualifications
1. Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
2. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
3. Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements
4. Previous experience working in food service is preferred
5. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
