This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our Outside Works Engineering Team as a Commissioning Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning, installing and servicing industrial control systems.

In recent years these projects have been complemented with projects in advanced manufacturing, integrating the latest Industry 4.0 technologies.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand for our services, our team is expanding and we are now seeking a knowledgeable and ambitious Commissioning Engineer to join us.
The Role
Key Purpose: Commissioning, installation, service and call-out support. Designing software and hardware for control systems.
* Commissioning, servicing and maintenance of Industrial Control systems
* The implementation of hardware and software design to satisfy the functional design specification or customer’s requirements specification.
* Monitoring changes in scope of work or contract time
* Preparing and Performing Factory and Site Acceptance Testing
* Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and call-out support
* Delivering client training
* Software coding and configuration for SCADA or HMI interfaces.
* Producing technical documentation
* Providing out of hours call-out provision (managed via a rota – standby allowance paid)
* Contribute to all aspects of project health and safety lifecycle.
* Supervision of sub-contractors and management of their contracts and activities.
* Supervision and coaching of junior staff, including technicians, graduates and apprentices.
The Candidate
* A minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in control engineering or electrical engineering.
* HND/Degree in Engineering
* Practical problem solver
* Customer facing with good communication skills
* Ability to work to procedures in detail
* Highly motivated and disciplined.
* Must be eligible and authorised to work in the UK (with relevant visas already obtained where required)
* Hold a full driving licence and be prepared to travel and work away from home.
