Salary £41,546.21 per annum
Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week)

At Oakhill Secure Training Centre, we care for young people aged 12 to 18 who have been remanded or sentenced to detention. The environment requires high standards of social care and service delivery to provide a secure environment where young people can develop life skills and address behaviors that led to custody.
We work closely with Youth Custody Services to ensure our regimes reflect best practices in residential care to prevent reoffending.
We are seeking a Conflict Resolution Manager with secure residential experience in a child care setting, with a strong understanding of behavior management and safeguarding. You will ensure a stable, secure environment promoting anti-offending behaviors in line with legislation, contractual, and company standards.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver Conflict Resolution (CR) sessions individually and in groups, arranging resources as needed
* Publicize and explain CR to children, staff, and stakeholders
* Provide consultancy on CR in meetings
* Engage potential participants, explain CR, motivate, and obtain informed consent
* Prepare for sessions by understanding the CR Model and tailoring delivery to participant needs
* Update the Resettlement and CR teams on progress
* Ensure session rooms are prepared with necessary materials
* Deliver CR sessions following the CR Model and Restorative Justice Principles
* Maintain notes on participants after each session
* Complete evaluation forms and share feedback to improve the service
* Work with the CR Treatment Manager on complex cases
* Attend CR training and pursue ongoing professional development
* Analyze relevant data, take remedial actions, and complete administrative tasks
* Comply with audit requirements as directed
* Undergo supervision to maintain quality standards and support professional growth
* Model pro-social behavior, demonstrate the value of education and care, and encourage behavioral change to prevent re-offending
* Build trusting, respectful, professional relationships with young people, providing support and managing vulnerabilities
* Conduct bullying investigations and support safeguarding efforts
* Promote a positive Health & Safety culture to achieve British Safety Council 5-Star recognition
* Plan and manage activities for young people as needed
* Support management in implementing development strategies and fostering positive change

* Support safeguarding and wellbeing of children and adults at risk
* Understand that duties may evolve, and additional tasks may be assigned as needed
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in secure residential child care
* Willingness to complete or hold a Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management
* Strong understanding of behavior management and safeguarding
* Experience monitoring service delivery and achieving objectives
* Experience supporting individual planning and support
