Site Engineer
Salary: £up to 46K DOE
24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
Location: Henstridge - Near Wincanton & Yeovil
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07.30-16.30
My Client, a rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Henstridge near Wincanton, is looking to recruit a 'hands-on' Site Engineer. The successful Site Engineer will report into the Operations Director and be closely aligned with the Production Manager. The Site Engineer will action and control the entire engineering requirements of the business, which will include direct hands-on intervention with all plant, equipment, and utilities.
The role will also involve engagement and supervision of contractors and suppliers. The Site Engineer will help to deliver low-cost production, maximize capacity, maximize yield, minimize downtime, extend the life of plant and equipment, and minimize expenditure on maintenance and repair issues. The position is full-time and factory-based.
The successful person MUST:
1. Have previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
2. Possess strong mechanical knowledge
3. Demonstrate strong relationship skills and the ability to communicate engineering issues with people at all levels
4. Be hands-on, working with a small team and managing subcontractors, as most of the engineering work will be carried out by yourself or regular subcontractors
5. Enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously
6. Have a thorough understanding of Health and Safety
This role will suit an enthusiastic individual with a strong mechanical engineering background. It is commutable from Wincanton, Shepton Mallet, Yeovil, Shaftesbury, Frome, Bruton, Mere, Warminster, and Westbury.
This role may suit candidates who have previously worked as an Engineering Supervisor, Engineering Coordinator, Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Supervisor, Quarry Engineer, Agricultural Technician, Agricultural Engineer, or Engineering Team Leader.
