Senior Bid Writer
Salary: £35 – 45k – hybrid or remote with occasional travel to Liverpool offices.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Introduction to the role:
Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a talented and experienced Bid Writer. Reporting to the Senior Bid Manager, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy, playing a key role in creating competitive bids that showcase our expertise.
Key Responsibilities of the Bid Writer:
1. Work with and support the Senior Bid Manager.
2. Ensure we are on all relevant frameworks and portals.
3. Monitor potential business opportunities and act on them efficiently liaising with appropriate colleagues.
4. Timely planning, management, and completion of allocated selection questionnaires and tender submissions through the various stages of the procurement process.
5. Plan, draft, write, and coordinate responses to bids.
6. Ensure all written documentation relating to bids and tenders is of high quality and accuracy.
7. Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to construct relevant answers that clearly address the external stakeholders’ requirements and portray the company appropriately.
8. Build internal and external relationships to create quality bids that best represent the company’s services.
9. Manage each bid as a mini-project, ensuring that all tasks are assigned to relevant workstreams and actioned in a timely manner.
10. Review and evaluate each bid to glean lessons learned and share constructive feedback with colleagues and the organization.
11. Present information in a meaningful, useful, and understandable way to internal and external stakeholders.
12. Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on local and national policies/procedures/pathways.
13. Proactively seek clarification for frameworks and tenders to inform written bids.
Essential Skills and Experience of the Bid Writer:
1. Two years’ experience in either Health, Social Care, or Public Sectors.
2. Educated to GCSE level in English and Mathematics grade A-C.
3. Minimum three years’ tender completion experience.
4. Ability to prove successful wins post tender.
