An immediate opportunity has arisen to join our Inpatient Therapy Team Bank as a Band 2 Therapy Support Worker to work alongside our Registered Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists at the The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
As a Bank Therapy Support Worker you will work within a competency framework to assist the qualified Therapists in delivering a high quality, patient-focused therapy service. Your work will be delegated and supervised, and you will follow instruction regarding Therapy interventions, managing a designated caseload and reporting back at all times.

Within the inpatient therapy team we have a strong ethos of collaboration and work closely as a team on a daily basis. We have a friendly, inclusive, and open culture. Working under the direction of the Registered Therapists you will -
• · work to achieve the competency standards for this role
• · assist in the assessment and treatment of patients
• · carry out appropriate standardised assessments with patients as requested by the Therapist and you will provide accurate feedback to the Therapist.
• · assist in tasks as requested
• · be aware of the clinical risk within the patient case load, raising issues to senior staff and acting in accordance with Trust policy
• · comply with the legislation regarding patient confidentiality
• · carry out some administrative tasks as needed to promote overall support of the team
• · pay particular attention to infection control guidelines
• · maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and comprehensive treatment records in line with Trust requirements, Therapy Centre standards of practice and Professional standards
• · attend statutory and mandatory training as required.
• · be aware of the safety of patients and staff at all times and to carry out duties in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
