We are looking for an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer for one of the UK's leading food manufacturing companies providing an impressive range of products into retailers and the foodservice sector.

* Monday - Friday role with alternate Saturdays

THE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
* High quality engineering support to enable continuous running of plant and equipment.
* Rapid response to breakdowns.
* Effective fault diagnosis to ensure first time fixes.
* Carry out the maintenance of office, control, and factory equipment etc, conveyors belt, ceiling machine, filling machine, depositors, metal detectors, steam cookers and mixers.
* Identifying improvement areas within line engineering processes and recommending/implementing solutions.
* Carrying out autonomous and preventative maintenance tasks competently and correctly and recording work completed accurately in the correct documentation.
* Inspections of equipment at predetermined intervals to ensure there is no risk to product from contamination by foreign bodies arising from equipment damage.
* Work on flow wrappers, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other manufacturing machinery.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Will need to have experience in the food manufacturing sector as an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer and also have the following attributes:
* Be a fully qualified with 18th Edition;
* Experience in package/food/FMCG manufacturing business;
* Proven experience as an electrician;
* Experience in industrial electrical systems and electrical drawings;
* Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools and electrical drawings;
* Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability;
* Perform routine testing of electrical systems and equipment, repairing and replacing, as necessary;
* Working knowledge of Food and Hygiene policy.
