Working hours: 35hrs (4 Nights On, 4 Off) + NS allowance
Salary Details: A 10% Night pay allowance is also payable in addition to the advertised salary

Job Summary:
The Salvation Army provides support and accommodation for homeless adults & families within the South Lanarkshire area. We are looking to recruit a Night Assistant Support Worker to join our team in Halfway, Eva Burrows 1st Stop Lifehouse.

To succeed you will need to have the ability to work independently and be comfortable as a lone worker, when required, with a good knowledge of the relevant protocols and safety precautions. You’ll be able to maintain passion for working with individuals who have had to flee their own home.
You will be responsible for assisting and delivering a high-quality programme of support and meaningful activities. You will need good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working with vulnerable, homeless adults.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes.
2. Knowledge of Crisis Intervention.
3. Qualification or equivalent in a related field or be willing to work towards.
4. Experience of working with vulnerable clients in this field.
5. Knowledge and understanding of supported housing funding streams and reporting requirements.
And PVG scheme disclosure check. All new employees have to register with SSSC within 3 months of appointment.
Appointment subject to satisfactory references, PVG Disclosure and proof of right to work in the UK.
