Job summary We are seeking a Band 8a Lead ACP to join our team here at the Great Western Hospital. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP), the role involves working within Urgent Treatment Centre alongside a team of Emergency Practitioners you will be central to the delivery of Urgent Care within the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder is required to deliver an advanced level of clinical practice working within local and nationally agreed protocols and guidelines. The ACP will exercise independent judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of Urgent Care patients. They will work alongside Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) practitioners, doctors and Lead Consultant and support the clinical decision making within the unit. The post holder will promote the UTC both internally and externally whilst acting as an autonomous, accountable advanced practitioner.
