A prominent compliance services company is recruiting a dedicated Legionella Risk Assessor / Consultant to join their Doncaster office, undertaking surveys and delivering expert guidance on water systems throughout the UK. About the Role You will assess water systems and associated equipment to identify any legionella hazards that may exist, ensuring industry benchmark compliance. Based in Doncaster, the job entails coverage of multiple sites, offering autonomy, diversity, and the opportunity to impart technical knowledge to clients whilst upholding a high level of professionalism. Main Duties: Conduct legionella risk assessments and compile detailed reports, including schematics, in line with ACoP-L8, HSG274, and BS8580 legislation. Offer expert advice and support to clients regarding water system safety. Conduct site surveys using handheld devices, ensuring all documentation and photographs are accurate. Undertake legionella compliance activities in line with ACoP-L8 and HSG274 standards. Inspect equipment on a daily basis before each task, reporting any defects to senior management without delay. Travel to UK sites (with accommodation and meal allowances provided). Escalate data problems to the Project Manager and software issues to management. Meet performance goals set by your supervisor. Thorough grasp of organizational policies, processes, and applicable laws. Capability to operate solo across multiple locations, meeting rigorous quality and procedural standards. Competence in IT tools (e.g., Excel, data management systems). Commitment to expanding expertise in the field. Flexibility and a clear understanding of your own strengths and weaknesses.
