Herefordshire Council is looking for a passionate and dedicated Children in Care Social Worker to join our Children & Young People in Care Team. Responsibilities: As a Children in Care Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:
1. Case Management: Managing a caseload of children and young people in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and stability.
2. Support & Advocacy: Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and carers to advocate for their needs and ensure their voices are heard in all decision-making processes.
3. Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Working alongside colleagues from various professions, including health and education, to deliver tailored care plans.
4. Safeguarding: Ensuring that all statutory responsibilities are met, with a focus on child protection and improving the quality of life for children in care.
5. Professional Development: Engaging in training and development opportunities to continuously improve your practice and support your career growth.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Holds a degree in Social Work and is registered with Social Work England.
2. Has experience working with children and families, particularly in care settings.
3. Demonstrates excellent communication, assessment, and advocacy skills.
4. Enhanced DBS.
5. Access to own car.
