Position Overview
Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Lead Electrical Technician, located offshore on the FPF-1 installation.
Coordination of the day-to-day maintenance of all electrical work onboard the FPF-1, including but not limited to the planning of work scopes within the 7/28 and 90 day planning process. Acts as the focal point offshore in regard to electrical issues, liaising with onshore support to minimise down time and increase process uptime.
Responsibilities
* Proactive involvement and adherence to Company’s ‘Lifesaving Rules’, and active participator in our Safety Observation system.
* Competent to control electrical isolation to ensure safe working practices.
* Co-ordinates with operations personnel for Start-up and Shutdown of electrical equipment.
* Condition monitors the performance and serviceability of all plant electrical equipment, using company equipment and system tools.
* Completes routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and installation of electrical and electronic equipment to defined standards.
* Proactive approach, involvement, and participation in Route Cause Analysis (RCA’s), and Reliability Themes, minimising single point failures and ensuring maximised uptime of associated plant and equipment.
* Maintains all electrical drawing and single line diagrams ‘as-built’ to identify any modifications made to the equipment.
* Implement a planned maintenance programme, meeting statutory and vendor requirements, ensuring all work is accurately recorded.
* Ensure all switching of LV / HV equipment is carried out in accordance with operation procedures and statutory requirements.
* Ensure all work carried out follows all statutory procedures.
* Assess FPF-1 candidates for CEP/AEP/SAEP authorisations in accordance with Electrical Safety Rules
* Delegate stand-in as required for Lead Electrical Technician role.
* Active participation and proactive involvement in the Company’s Performance Management System.
Qualifications & Experience
* Industry recognised Apprenticeship and relevant qualification (minimum S/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and background in industrial power generation/distribution.
* Extensive electrical operations and maintenance experience preferably gained in an offshore environment.
* Must be able to compile technical reports with associated drawings as required, pertaining to electrical systems or operations.
* Hold a valid COMPEX certificate EX01-04 to work and carry out maintenance on equipment used within hazardous areas.
* Recognised certificate in HV/LV switching operations and protection relay testing would be beneficial.
* Candidates should have permit to work experience preferably as Electrical Authorised Isolator or equivalent.
* Proactive approach to HE&S initiatives.
* Demonstrate good teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a close, multi-discipline environment. Maintain positive and tactful relationships with others.
* Demonstrate proactive, flexible and positive attitude. Share knowledge freely with others to ensure best practices.
