About the Service This is a fun and welcoming home and you will be joining a committed and ambitious team, led by a manager who really wants to see you develop and reach your potential Park House was developed in partnership between Action for Children and Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council in 2012 and is a three-bedroom bungalow offering children and teenagers with disabilities short-term, planned residential breaks where the children can explore, make friends, access new opportunities and learn new life skills, all with the help from the staff team. Park House is purpose-built property in the heart of Port Talbot community close to beautiful Aberavon beach. So far this year, we have supported 32 children offering overnight stays and holiday provision, with indirect support to 35 siblings of the young people we support. About the role Qualified or currently working towards a level 3 in Health and Social Care, within this Residential Support Worker role, you’ll lead a team of support workers on shift, ensuring high standards of care and personalised support for the children and young people we support. This will include supporting in the absence of the Registered Manager or Team Leader, supervisions of staff, case managing and assisting in the development of the service. How you’ll create brighter futures Lead shifts with the primary aim of the provision of a high-quality service. Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing and managing risk. Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports. Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc. Supervise and guide staff as required, in accordance with Action for Children policies and procedures. Let’s talk about you Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care children and young people (or recognised equivalent) or currently working towards. Experience of shift leading a team of support workers Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns as agreed via the rolling rota.
