Job Details
Older People’s Services has 8 residential services across Fife. The successful candidate will work on a rota basis within the care home which includes early shifts, late shifts, and a period of night duty. Unsocial hours will be paid at the basic rate plus 1/3 hourly rate.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join our care home team in Fife Council’s Residential and Day Services. We are looking for motivated individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of older people. This will involve providing positive support and encouragement for service users to make their own choices and decisions in their daily lives as well as providing flexible support to enable access to activities and achieve personal outcomes.
The care homes in Fife provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people and support a respite, STAR unit, and day service.
The Person
Must have or be able to work towards the required qualification as outlined by the Scottish Social Services Council. Provide care and support which meets the Health and Social Care standards.
Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service. You should be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
To ensure you achieve registration with the SSSC, you must apply for registration within 3 months of your start date and maintain your registration by holding or working towards the SSSC benchmark qualification and completing the required Continuous Professional Learning (CPL).
