Act as first point of contact for all telephone and reception enquiries, ensuring that messages are forwarded to the appropriate persons and visitors are welcomed to the department. Provide an effective clerical service to support the team, including photocopying, data input and posting out of equipment. To book all patient follow-up appointments in accordance with clinic rules and deal with enquiries from the general public and other disciplines of staff regarding clinic bookings. To be responsible for the recording of all clinic outcomes and other information within agreed deadlines. Effective liaison with multi-disciplinary team ensuring accurate information is communicated as and when required. Deal with walk-in patients to clinic and assist members of the medical and nursing staff with any queries during the course of the clinic. Provide outpatient clinic lists and booking summaries for nursing staff. Contribute to the ordering of stationary supplies and associated procedures. Contribute towards service improvement initiatives to enhance quality of patient care. Assist in maintaining equipment and decontaminating in accordance to Infection Control. To provide any other duties that may be required relevant to this grade.
