We are looking for someone that can take on the role of Principal Planning Enforcement Officer to assist the team in delivering an effective and efficient planning enforcement service. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking to play a pivotal role in developing the service, whilst also developing themselves.

What will you be doing.
• Manage a varied caseload of planning enforcement issues, including the most complex and sensitive cases
• Prepare enforcement notices and instruct our legal advisors
• Assist our legal advisors with prosecutions and injunctions and where appropriate attend court to give evidence on behalf of the Council
• Assist the Team Leader with management and mentoring of the team
What are we looking for?
• Proven experience working in development management, planning enforcement or a similar field.
• Negotiation skills
• Investigation and research skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Full UK driving licence (access to a vehicle is not necessary if licence held for 2 years)
• Recognised degree or relevant professional planning experience, providing eligibility for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute
