Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 RN role in the progressive and expanding field of Interventional Radiology (IR).
Are you a registered nurse who is seen as a positive and enthusiastic role model to colleagues? Perhaps you also already have professional experience in I.R or theatres or cardiac catheterisation labs or endoscopy? If the answer is YES, then this is the role for you!
You will be joining our highly skilled and motivated team in providing optimal care for patients undergoing I.R procedures.
Main duties of the job
As a pivotal part of our team, the post holder will be responsible for the daily management and coordination of the team to ensure that all patients receive an optimum level of safe, effective care. They will also be responsible for supervision, leading and developing colleagues and nursing practice within I.R.

Qualifications
* Registered Adult Nurse
* Teaching and assessing qualification.
* Evidence of post registration training
* Recent or previous experience working within an acute care nursing
* Recent or previous experience working within Theatre / scrub or Interventional Radiology
Experience of Particular: - Knowledge - Skills - Attitude
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Able to demonstrate good leadership skills
* Good time management
* Aseptic scrub skills
* Cannulation
* Venepuncture
* IV drug administration
* ILS / ALS training
* ECG recognition
* Interventional radiology knowledge
* Recovery skills
* Audit and research
Specific Requirements
* Flexible in approach to work
* Ability to respond to changing demands and priorities
* Ability to motivate staff and encourage learning within the unit
* Ability to multitask in order to achieve goals
* Ability to work on an on-call rota
* Ability to travel to all sites within the trust
